NGL Team, The Winner of Google Lunar X Prize

Google Lunar X Prize was announced first in 2007, sponsored by Google and organized by the X Prize foundation. In this competition, Google has USD 30 million prices and challenge anyone who can fly and land the aircraft made its own to the moon.

And Google has finally got a winner for this competition. The Winner is a combined team consisting of scientists, business and academia, called the Next Giant Leap (NGL). For the position of Lead System Integrators, NGL entrust MicroSat System Company which renown as innovator for small size spaceship. Meanwhile, safety landing responsibility is entrusted to Draper Laboratory.

Meanwhile Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT is entrusted as Partners from academia, especially aeronautic and astronautic major. Including astronaut Jeff Hoffman and Professor David Miller act as head of MIT Space Systems Laboratory.

NGL also involved Aurora Flight Company that specialized in the field of spaceship probe. And Busek Company which expert in propulsion to launch the spaceship, particularly the electric drive system.
