Microsoft Windows Server Foundation Level Netbook

In later months, Microsoft will release Windows Server 2008 Foundation with different configuration from Dell, IBM etc. It confirms Steve Ballmer – Microsoft CEO’s last February statement of a low end netbook edition Windows server.

According to Microsoft, this low end Windows server assembled from low price materials, it is in $500 range. With the future released of Windows Server 2008 in later months, Microsoft will be a pioneer of netbook level server.

Microsoft currently released partial details from Windows Server 2008 Foundation’s Small enterprise edition. It is designed for companies with less than 15 employers. Windows Server 2008 will be released in 40 countries and support many languages such as: traditional English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Turk.

As published in Microsoft’s press release, this Widows Server will give solution for all consumers need. Using this server, consumer could upgrade to other Windows Server membership with optional features such as email integration, simple management, virtualization and other advanced featured. Windows Server 2008 Foundation will be distributed from 2 non-profit global enterprises, TechSoup.org and Telecentre.org.
