DNA Paternity testing is a laboratory test to determine whether a man is the father of a given child or not. The results are generally issued as a statement of probability that the man in question is the father of the child. The DNA test can prove that there is a 99.9% likelihood of paternity or there is a zero percent probability of paternity. It is very accurate and that’s why the courts today rely heavily on DNA test results for paternity.

With the advancement of the technology, conducting a DNA testing is now much easier than before, and of course you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars for it. It is called home dna test, as the name implies, the test is conducted in the privacy of one’s own home. People also do not have to worry about a painful process since there is no blood sample taken. With a home paternity test kit available in the market, an individual only need to take saliva sample from the inside of the mouth and the cheek by rubbing it using oral fluid swabs included in the kit.
